Good Night

Notin

When I first met you, twinkling as you did.

Dancing like a wind, your eyes fell asleep.

Now I’m with you, you turned into peace.

The world is quiet, for listening needs.

So winds blow the petals into sky.

So we try to depart with a lie.

In the shore winds freeze, we’re looking up to the sky.

In descending dusk, let’s say good night.

No more pain no more die, never try to say goodbye.

In the starry night, just say Good Night.

Good night, let’s look up to sky.

Good night.

Good night, let’s look up to sky.

Good night.

By The Poet of Garden Hemp ( an independent rock band from mainland China, in Chinese: 麻园诗人)

Translated by Bright Blue (Chinese poet, in Chinese: 蓝澈)

Note: Some sentences in the translations do not share the exactly same meaning as in original poem.

Original:

当我遇见你 闪烁的灯光里
舞步飞行 双眼迷离
再次遇见你 你变得很安静
世界安静 是为听清
有时风吹花瓣落成雨
有时想要随便逃往哪里

在海岸风冰凉 在路上抬头向上望
在天色渐暗 一起说晚安
在不安也不想 就接受命运的暗淡
在星光路旁 再次说晚安
晚安 回头向上望
晚安
晚安 回头向上望
晚安
